Jaiswal slams 210 in Giles Shield

Anjuman-I-Islam Urdu's Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a double ton against Hansraj Morarji Public School (Andheri) to put the CST school in command on Day One of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association-Mumbai Indians Giles Shield Elite Division match at Cross Maidan yesterday.

Opting to bat, Anjuman scored 281 in 79 overs, thanks to Yashasvi’s 210, which included 28 fours and four sixes. For Hansraj, Satyak Patel was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 6-100.

“I was a little tense after Faiz Rathor (3) got out. Thereafter, wickets kept falling at the other end and there were not many to accompany me,” Yashasvi said.

Sayed scores 150 
Meanwhile, riding on Sayed Mohammad’s 80-ball 150, St Anne’s (Bandra) handed Dr S Radhakrishnan (Malad) 170-run defeat in the third round of the MSSA-MI Giles Shield Plate Division tie at Azad Maidan.
