Jalandhar: A woman allegedly thrashed staff of a private school here after her daughter was stopped from carrying a mobile phone by the latter, police said today. A girl student brought a mobile phone on Monday.
Her phone, along with two other students' mobile was captured by school staff as it is against the rules of the institution, according to the school director, Jyoti Nagrani.
When the school gave over, her mother, Taranjeet Kaur visited the office of Chief Executive Officer of the school and, locking the door from inside, thrashed the latter without soughting the issue, Nagrani told PTI.
The whole incident was recorded in CCTV, footage of which have been given to the police, she said. Following the complaint, police has registered an FIR gainst Kaur and investiging the matter.
