Members of saffron outfit believe Jaswant Singh was expelled to scuttle the tabling of a crucial report that blames senior BJP leaders for the poor performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls
RSS leaders feel Advani and Rajnath Singh engineered Jaswant Singh's expulsion in order to divert the attention from a report by veteran BJP MP and National Vice President of the party Bal Apte that was to be tabled at a recent BJP Chintan Baithak in Shimla.u00a0 The report prepared by Apte, a staunch RSS activist, reportedly blames senior BJP leaders, including LK Advani for the party's bad showing in the recent Lok Sabha polls. "Apte's report was to place the blame where it belonged. When top leaders including Advani and Rajnath Singh got wind of the report's contents, they expelled Jaswant Singh," said senior RSS activist and former Baudhik Pramukh, Rambhau Tupkari.
Tupkari, author of three Marathi books, Vaigyanik Drusthikonatoon RSS (Scientific viewpoint of RSS), the science of organisation and Rashtranimran, said, "This is not to suggest that RSS agrees with the views expressed by Jaswant Singh about Jinnah. Everybody knows Jinnah is responsible for the creation of Pakistan.
But the swiftness with which the whole thing was carried out indicates nothing but a conspiracy to prevent tabling of the report at the Chintan Baithak. And in which they succeeded."
Another senior RSS functionary, who did not want to be quoted, said that even if the BJP wanted to expel Jaswant Singh, the party should have done so after the tabling of Bal Apte's report. "Why was the whole thing raked up at the time it was and why was the whole discussion on Apte report scuttled? Sadly, even the media became an unwitting pawn in BJP's political game," he said.
Sudhir Pathak, editor of Tarun Bharat, the RSS mouthpiece said, "All members of the RSS have an antipathy for Jinnah. But the manner in which Jaswant Singh has been expelled indicates there is more to it than meets the eye.'
