JEE Main Result 2014: CBSE Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) 2014 Result declared yesterday late night i.e. 2nd May’2014 at around 11:15 PM by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
CBSE Joint entrance examination is widely known as JEE Main. JEE Main Exam was conducted initially in the year 1960. It is a common entrance test that is conducted for admissions in various engineering institutions for courses such as B. tech, B.E, B. Arch, and B. planning under the track of Ministry of Human Resource Development.
JEE Main Result 2014 / JEE Result was declared yesterday late night (2nd May’2014) at around 11:15 PM. The number of students appearing for the JEE Main Exam has considerably improved over the years. JEE Mains paper-based exam was held on April 6 this year and around 13 lakh candidates appeared in the JEE Main Exam 2014 and online exams was conducted between April 9 and April 19.
The JEE Main Exam is of total 360 Marks in which each section i.e. (Physics, Chemistry &Mathematics) is of 120 Marks i.e. Mathematics Section (120 Marks), Physics Section (120 Marks), and Chemistry Section is also of (120 Marks) from which total scores required by students to be eligible for JEE Advanced Exam for General Category students is 115 Marks, 74 Marks for OBC Category Students, 53 Marks for SC Category Students and 47 for ST Category Students.
Those students who secured the above mentioned marks are eligible. However, the final rank of candidates will be declared once the CBSE result will be out. The Ranks will be Calculated by using 40 % of their CBSE scores. The JEE Advanced Exam is to be held on 25th May’2014. The registrations for JEE Advanced (2014) Exams will begin tomorrow from 4th May'2014 till 9th May'2014.

JEE Main modes of examination:
There are two modes of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) examination i.e. paper-based and online examinations.
JEE Main Exam comprises of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates have the choice of opting between the two examinations. Paper 1 is for admission in B. tech (online and offline) and Paper 2 is for admission in B. Arch and B. Planning. These examinations are conducted through offline modes. Both examinations comprise of objective type of questions and approximately 1, 50,000 students appears for the JEE Main Exam (Joint Entrance Examination) every year. Joint Entrance Examination 2014 (JEE Main 2014) answer keys was released by CBSE during the last week of April, prior to JEE Main Results 2014.
