John Abraham maybe reinventing himself as an action hero through his soon to-be-released Force, but according to sources, Vidyut Jamwar, the debutant and villain in the film, may have spoilt his plans.

Sources claim that in a recently held trial screening of the film, it was felt that Jamwar had made a stronger impact than Abraham, especially in the fight scenes between the two. The debutant came off looking better than Abraham.

Not wanting the lead actor of the film to be overshadowed, promotional strategies of the film have now been altered. Instead of having the three principal characters in the film, Abraham, Genelia D'Souza, and Jamwar, promote the film, only Abraham and D'Souza will be seen in the film's marketing efforts.

Especially problematic, according to the source, is the final fight sequence between the two actors. "Vidyut was coming across so forcefully that the action director and the film's director Nishikant Kamat asked Vidyut to tone down his agility and skill. Still, he has managed to take over the climax," he said.

It was decided sometime last week, behind closed doors, that instead of being promoted through the film, Jamwar, a Fox Star find, will now be promoted by the studio, also a co-producer of the film.

When asked if Jamwar had made too big an impact for his own good, Kamat said, "We wanted a villain who leaves an impact like Mogambo did in Mr India or Gabbar Singh in Sholay. After auditioning around 60 young actors, we finally chose Vidyut."

Jamwar refused to get drawn into the matter. "I've been told that letting my work speak for itself is not enough. But that's the way I am. I am not going to get into a slinging match with anyone."
