Fit-again South Africa batsman JP Duminy blazed a rapid century as he began making up for lost time on his return to international cricket.

In an 84-run win against Holland here yesterday, Duminy cracked 150 not out, his highest score in a one-day international, to make light of his seven-month spell on the sidelines.

With the Champions Trophy looming, it was more than encouraging for the Proteas to see Duminy in bludgeoning form, hitting eight sixes and five fours in a 119-ball stay.

South Africa began slowly, losing Hashim Amla and Alviro Petersen cheaply, but with Duminy dominant and Colin Ingram and Faf du Plessis weighing in with half-centuries, they amassed 341 for three. Duminy had been out of action due to an ankle injury suffered against Australia last November.
