The 20-year-old 'Baby' hitmaker told fans he had been 'cliff diving' but the dangerous leaps 'busted his eardrum' and he may have to undergo an operation to fix the damage, reported Hollywood Life.
It is not known when Bieber sustained the injury but video footage surfaced last year showing him jumping from a cliff in Kauai, Hawaii.
As he prepared to release clips of new music online, the pop star took to Twitter to tell fans of his health woes.
"Busted my ear drum cliff diving. Doctor says might need surgery now. Sucks... My ear drum might back us up a little but I'm still bringing you this new music.
Much love. Damn you cliff diving (sic)!.. Got some exclusives on the fan club. We got a lot coming. No worries," Bieber wrote.
