Jyoti wins RG Nair 10-km race

Indian Army athlete Jyoti Tawtiya (24) won the 48th RG Nair 10-km walk race, conducted by the Bombay Keraleeya Samaj, by finishing the course around Shivaji Park (Dadar) in 48 minutes and ten seconds yesterday.

Indian Army athlete Jyoti Tawtiya (24) won the 48th RG Nair 10-km walk race, conducted by the Bombay Keraleeya Samaj, by finishing the course around Shivaji Park (Dadar) in 48 minutes and ten seconds yesterday.

Second-placed Eknath Sambhai Turumbekar clocked 50:39 to finish ahead of Dr TR Naavane Sports Academy's Mohammed Ali Sheikh, who clocked 52:51. Western Railway's Supriya M Adak won the women's 2.1-km race for the MN Kurup Trophy.
