Bollywood's age-old friendship between Kajol and Karan Johar turned sour due to an altercation between the latter and Kajol's husband Ajay Devgn, but things seemed to have changed for better now

With hits like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and My Name Is Khan (2010) to their credit, Kajol and Karan Johar shared a close personal as well as professional bond. But their friendship hit a rocky patch after an altercation between Kajol's husband, actor Ajay Devgn, and Johar, last year. A few months ago, Karan launched his autobiography, wherein, he stated that the chapter of this friendship has shut for him and he wouldn't wish to open it again.

However, there's good news for their fans! On Thursday, Kajol posted a throwback picture of her seated on the bonnet of a white car. She wrote, "Look what I found! A pic of me and my first love .... my first car ever !!! #tbt (sic)."

Karan, who rather had an unpleasant memory of the car immediately replied to the picture and said, "I think I remember a traumatic drive in this car with Manish!! (sic)." The conversation didn't end here. Kajol replied to his comment saying, "Perfectly controlled trauma (sic)."

Earlier, in a podcast interview with Neha Dhupia, Karan made it very clear that he wants to give his age-old friendship a second chance. "I do feel that I did speak about many things and I said many things but now when I look back I'm going to say that whatever may have transpired, and everything that I said about our relationship, a lot of it I think that perhaps I reacted on impulse and put it out there."
"And now when I look back, I'm like, maybe it was something that I should have kept to myself. I think there are certain relationships are so sacred that when you hurt from them or you hold on to that pain, you keep a lot of those feelings to yourself and leave it to one on one discussion," said a dejected friend about his public fallout with Kajol.

"But having said that, the relationship is too strong in the past for me and for her not to have a 2.0 version of it," said Karan. And here they are freshly starting the next chapter of their friendship and things seem to have eased out now. Kajol invited KJo for her birthday lunch in August. A source says that they are set to work together on a film now. Kajol is likely to star in Johar's next directorial venture. We like.
