Los Angeles: 'The Big Bang Theory' actress Kaley Cuoco has apologised for posting a controversial photograph of her dogs sitting on the American flag.

Cuoco issued an apology on Instagram along with an image of a heart emblazoned with the stars and stripes, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag. I sincerely apologise to anyone that has been offended by my previous post," Cuoco wrote.
"This in no way reflects my feelings toward what the American flag represents. Living in the public eye, can be extremely difficult at times. Every mistake and every imperfection is amplified. I am not perfect. I am a proud American, today, tomorrow, always," she added.
On the Fourth of July, Cuoco also shared a photograph with her boyfriend Karl Cook on the photo-sharing website.
