The survivor is a resident of Mumbra who was in love with the 20-year-old Kalyan-based accused identified as Anil Awsarmol. She wanted to marry him too.

In her complaint, the survivor alleged that the accused had asked her to come Kalyan station on August 27, where he took her inside the ladies public toilet and raped her. The ordeal didn't stop there as the act repeated for next 10 to 15 days at his residence in Kalyan.

"The girl, who was acquainted with the accused, was raped inside the ladies toilet at Kalyan railway station on August 27. Three days later, the accused took her to his house in Tawri Pada in Kalyan, where he repeatedly raped her between August 30 and September 14," Inspector G Y Gore of Khadakpada police station said.

Awsarmol, who is untraceable, left the girl at Kalyan railway station on September 15. The victim, who lives with her father, lodged a complaint with police the next day. Since the first crime took place on the railway premises, that case was later transferred to Railway police. The girl has been kept at a children's home in Bhiwandi.

The police have registered a case of rape under IPC section 376 (rape) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

However, the Kalyan GRP and RPF denied information about any such incident on station premises. Officials said they had checked CCTV footage but found no trace of the victim near the toilet on platform no.2.
