Payyade's Onkar Khanvilkar claimed batting honours as Dr H D Kanga Cricket League action returned after a gap of three weeks in Mumbai on Sunday

Khanvilkar was however unlucky to miss his century by six runs in a drawn match against Cricket Club of India. His 94 was studded with 14 fours and a six.


Mumbai off-spinner Ramesh Powar was most impressive bowler of the ‘A’ division as he returned remarkable figures of 15.3–3–30–6 for Shivaji Park Gymkhana to restrict Shivaji Park Youngsters to 162. An attacking 51 off 30 balls by Shreyas Khanolkar helped Shivaji Park Gymkhana to achieve a win on the first innings win.
