Behram Kapadia and Tosha Khatau were the star performers of the day winning gold medals in their respective categories in the 6th Karate ufffd Do Gojukai World Championship at the NSCI, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel stadium.

Behram dominated the boys below 15 years and 70 kg and above category of the individual Kumite technique. The ninth standard student of Cathedral & John Cannon High School who also participates in basketball and athletics, defeated England’s James Murphy 5-2 in the final.

He displayed attacking karate skills right from the start, not allowing his opponent any leeway. In this category, South Africa’s Dewacdt Van Rooi and David Caubscher won the bronze medal.

In the girls below 15 years and above 54 kg category, Toysha Khatau who also is a ninth standard student of Cathedral & John Cannon High School won the gold medal. Toysha overpowered all her opponents to gain maximum points and secure a gold for the host country.u00a0
