Kareena and her mother, Babita, had bought two 3-bedroom-hall-kitchen (BHK) flats on the sixth floor of Rose Queen building in Khar and combined them into one large flat with three bedrooms, two halls and two kitchens. The flat has a carpet area of at least 2,050 sq ft.
Prakkash Rohira of Karma realtors, who had also shown the flat to one of his clients, said, “The interiors of the flat are nicely done. The bedrooms are huge and are also done up well. The price of the flat was a bit higher due to the celebrity quotient attached to it and it had been in the market for a long time. The Kapoors had to wait a long time to find an appropriate buyer.”
A public notice regarding both the flats with the names of Babita and Kareena Kapoor Khan as the owners was published in newspapers on Thursday. As per the notice, the mother-daughter duo has agreed to sell their flats to a client (whose name is not mentioned) and the title of the flats is being investigated.
mid-day sent a message to Babita Kapoor to confirm the sale and the amount, but there was no response from her end. When Kareena was asked about the public notice, she said, “My mother would know about it. I’ll consult with her.”
