Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) is hell-bent on hosting an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise regardless of its owners
Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) is hell-bent on hosting an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise regardless of its owners. Yesterday, the consortium that won the franchise for $333m submitted a fresh ownership pattern to the BCCI, earning a seven-day extension before a final call is taken on their future. As part of the new agreement, Rendezvous Sports, the promoters, have agreed to reduce their ownership stake.
"We are getting tired of this process. Everyday we have to react differently. We had no idea about this change of plan (new ownership pattern). We will wait till December 5," KCA Secretary TC Matthew said. "If this team doesn't survive, we will try to support whoever wins the bid for the new franchise. We have the best facilities and infrastructure. We also have corporates ready to support us," he concluded.
