Keep your kid busy this summer

With vacations round the corner, it'd be wise to cut-n-keep The Guide's brat box for the best of workshops, hobby classes and festivals

Chocolate factory

Give a kid chocolates and you have fed him for the day, but teach him to make them and you can break free from a cumbersome parental duty forever. Choko La, the chocolate boutique, comes up with a chocolate making workshop, which will help them whip up their favourite dessert in a jiffy. They can choose from 2 basic courses. Each workshop lasts for 2 to 3 days and is a hands-on experience for kids under the guidance of the Choko La chefs. The little ones get to experience the fascinating world of bonbon, cocoa and butterscotch through a play-and-learn method, whipping up yummy recipes in the process. While the shorter two day workshop helps kids in understanding the secrets of making chocolate and cup cakes, the three-day workshop offers children the basics of baking cookies as well. They can get their hands dirty with cream and caramel and learn to make these goodies, decorating and packing them as fun gifts for friends and family. After the session, your brats can take back home the fruits of their labour. Now, Charlie Bucket of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is not the only kid who gets to inherit Willy Wonka's candy empire. Your kid, too, can have his own little one in his backyard. Remember, for a kid, other things are just, food but chocolate is chocolate.
