Riding on the back of his six-out-of-six professional wins so far, Vijender Singh is keen to woo his home fans with his prowess on July 16, when he takes on Australian Kerry Hope for the WBO Asia title bout at the Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi.

The 30-year-old Indian is aware that his opponent comes with a lot of experience — Hope has won 23 of his 30 bouts so far , with two of those being via knockouts. However, Vijender is taking no pressure.

"I think there is no pressure, but responsibility. People are excited. I have to give my 100 per cent. I am aware of his (Hope) experience. He has good record of wins, but I am an Olympic medallist, I have won at Asian Games. I've achieved everything there is to achieve in amateur boxing.

"I've discussed my strategy with my coach and he believes it's not difficult to beat Hope," said Singh on the sidelines of a promotional event at the Jamnabai Narsee School in Vile Parle yesterday.
