He played Good Samaritan to his neighbour, who was allegedly harassed by thugs and not allowed to park her car at her Juhu residence.
On Wednesday evening, the men did not allow Niloufer Kapadia (60), who is an interior designer and a resident of Jassawala Wadi, to park her car in the premises.

"I was terrified when they gheraoed me and said I didn't have any right to park the car there. That's when my neighbour Akbar Khan came to my rescue," she said.

Akbar, who is Fardeen's uncle, got into an altercation with the men and finally the car was parked in the premises. The following afternoon, Kapadia claimed that her car tyres had been ripped.

Said Kapadia, "I was shaking like a leaf.u00a0 Fardeen who lives on the same premises insisted that I park my other car in his basement for safety. The same group had gathered outside Fardeen's bungalow.

We managed to park my car after a lot of shoving and fighting." She added that the owners of the property from Oberoi constructions had been harassing her to move out for nearly four years.

"It's shameful that they could treat a senior citizen like this. Mrs Kapadia, who is like a sister to me, has lived here for the last 40 years," said Akbar.
A case of wrongful restraint under Section 314 was issued against the watchman, who was party to the gang's misbehaviour.

According to the complaint, he told Fardeen, "Agar tumne yeh gaadi yahaan park ki, toh dekh lena main kya karta hoon."

Sr inspector M Chodhary said, "We have filed the complaint against S Kamble on charges reported by Fardeen Khan. We have not arrested the watchman yet."

A spokesperson from Oberoi Constructions stated, "The matter is between the complainant and the security personnel. We are, however, looking into the matter and will resolve it."
