Talent is an inborn quality to excel at something. It is what you can develop, hone and present in the best manner possible. If something enthrals me and holds me spellbound, that's talent.
Role call
I enjoy doing serious, meaty roles, but that doesn't mean that I won't do the small fun roles. I think my best performances till now have been in Baadwali (art house), Khamosh Paani, Devdas, Rang De Basanti and Kurbaan. These have all been serious roles and I've enjoyed playing different shades. But I've equally enjoyed acting in Dostana, Om Shanti Om. They've been fun cameos.
My hidden talent
I used to write a lot. I've even done columns for newspapers, but acting commitments have created a chasm between me and my writing. My dream now is to write a book. It'll probably be an autobiography and I hope to start it soon. I also like to dance, travel, read and watch theatre.
