Kolkata Knight Riders' star spinner Sunil Narine will play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sub-committee dealing with suspect bowling actions gave him a clean chit yesterday.
According to a BCCI release, the bowling review committee comprising S. Venkatraghavan, Javagal Srinath and A.V.
ayaprakash examined the bowling action of the West Indies spinner after he had undergone a biomechanical assessment.
“I am happy that we will witness Sunil Narine in action in the IPL 2015, since he is now cleared by the BCCI committee,” BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur said.
Narine gave a test at the International Cricket Council (ICC)-accredited Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) in Chennai. — IANS
