An El Clasico in Kolkata! It was announced yesterday that FC Barcelona legends will play against Real Madrid legends in Kolkata in the third week of September.

The exhibition match will be held in memory of late Dutch legend Johan Cruyff. Real Madrid legends Amancio Amaro, Isidoro San Jose and Richard Galeo confirmed about the match through an announcement at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.
For the forthcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup in October, Salt Lake Stadium will not be available for the exhibition match. So the proposed match can be held at the Rabindra Sarovar Stadium where all the ISL matches were held during the 2016-17 season. The match will be organised by Football Next Foundation. Kaushik Moulik, a Bengali entrepreneur and a football-fanatic is in Madrid to confirm the match.
Moulik was accompanied by Dipendu Biswas, former India footballer and a sitting MLA of the ruling party from Basirhat. Dipendu will be the Brand Ambassador for the El Clasico.
Kolkata is famous for the football-derby involving Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. Now football lovers can witness, almost one month before the final of the FIFA U-17 WC on October 28, one of the most famous enmities on a football field – an El Clasico!
