New Delhi: For most visitors, it is a good time to be in the Capital with the a lot of festivals round the corner and the feeling of winter setting in. Though there is hardly any time for the New Zealand cricket team to experience this, especially, after a forgettable outing in the hills during the Dharamsala ODI and being back to the place where it all began for them on this tour on a tough note against the Mumbai team in a practice game.

Incidentally, the Ferozshah Kotla hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Kane Williamson and his boys this year. It was here that England defeated them in the semi-final of the ICC World T20 in March. However, Kiwi pacer Trent Boult still feels that the, "Mood in the camp is very positive".

He was of the opinion that a five-match ODI series gives them a good chance to come back in the series and Delhi could be the place where they can turn the table. However, more than bowlers, it is the New Zealand batsmen who have failed on this tour and need to come good to change the results. While most of them have repeatedly claimed that they are a good ODI unit, but the likes of Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, Luke Ronchi, Corey Anderson would like to prove it.

"As a batting unit, we are looking to get more runs. If we can do that, we can put more scoreboard pressure on the Indian side. I'm not going to single out any one of their performances, but all of the 11 would like to contribute more with the bat," said the pacer, who missed the first ODI as a result of his team management's workload exercise, keeping in mind a busy schedule.

"In terms of the workload not just myself but all the bowlers have a heavy couple of months, seven Test matches inside eight or so weeks," he explained. For now, this experiment may have to take a back seat or they could be 0-2 down. This means at least one if not both — Boult and Matt Henry — will be drafted back into the side for the second ODI.
