Mumbai: Actor Krip Suri, who is playing Akbar in the "Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap" historical show, will be shwowcasing the negative side of the Mughal emperor and says it's tough.

"The role of Akbar has been played by two phenomenal actors namely Prithviraj Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan in movies. Hence, I feel privileged to essay this role. But unlike them who essayed his positive behaviour, I'm portraying the negative side of Akbar in the show 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap'," Krip said in a statement.

"Playing a negative role is tough...an artist should always be ready to take up challenges, I chose to play Akbar," he added.

The show, aired on Sony Entertainment Television, features Ssharad Malhotra and Rachana Parulkar as Maharana Pratap and Ajabde.
