India will play host to the sixth global Carnival of e-Creativity at an estate in Uttarakhand. A preview is slated for next month in Mumbai

The sixth edition of the annual Carnival of e-Creativity (CeC) 2011 is scheduled to play out through the weekend of February 18 to 20 in Sattal Estate, just above Bhimtal near Nainital, in the Lower Kumaon of Uttarakhand. A preview for CeC 2011 is slated in Mumbai soon to give you a taste of the experience.

The venueu00a0-- Sattal Mission Estate and Methodist Ashramu00a0-- itself provides a bag full of memorable experiences through its 250 acres of pristine nature and cottages in mixed colonial architecture. Born in 2006 at the Indian International Centre, New Delhi, CeC has since successfully built an extensive network of broad-base creative practitioners from the world over.

In the last five years, the confluence has created entertaining annual real-world get-togethers bringing over 500 creative practitioners to share their works and projects through performances, presentations and screenings in India.

This free-for-all is a creative and knowledge-sharing initiative by The Academy of Electronic Arts, a public benefit Trust. Shankar Barua, managing trustee, AeA has initiated a global network with CeC that now connects 2,500-plus creative institutions and professionals, individual artists and collectives, curators and art promoters.u00a0
