The flash strike by Western railway's motormen on Friday claimed one life and left two injured.

Lady dies during WR strike

A resident of Palghar died on Friday evening after she fell from a train at Borivali station due to overcrowding. Sunny Mayekar, a 28 year-old, miraculously escaped death after he slipped under a train while trying to get into a crowded local at Goregaon station on Friday evening. He sustained minor injuries.


Kailash Verma, President of Mumbai Pravasi Sangh (WR), said, “A criminal complaint should be filed against the motormen.” S Balkrishanan of Deshbhakti Andolan has filed a complaint against Devendra Yadav, convenor of Western Railway Motormen’s Association (WRMA), with the railways and Mumbai police. “I have made complaints to chairman of the railway board, divisional railway manager and the commissioner of Mumbai police. If authorities do not take action, we will file a PIL in the Bombay High cour on Wednesday,” said Balkrishanan.u00a0
