Pria Kataaria Puri showcased a Moroccon themed Resort collection. In true Kataaria style, models sashayed down the ramp in kaftans heavily embellished with bling, this time in the form of tassels and embroidery. Marcellus Baptista says Perizaad Zorabian and Namrata Barua were the stand out showstoppers.

Also watching her Marrakesh collection were the likes of Pooja Bedi (her first outing at this Fashion Week), Simone Singh, Shikha Swaroop, Shibani Kashyap, Neha and Pradeep Hirani, Ash Chandler and his ladylove Junelia Aguiar, Tabu Rothman, Krishika Lulla, Tanaz Doshi and Shaheen Abbas.

Anupama Dayal
5.30 pm

Anupama Dayal showcased her summer collection that will inspire you to hit the beach, and stay in shape while doing so. Translucent fabrics like chiffons, georgettes and crepes in bright and soothing colours transformed the bathing suit into chic party wear while Chanderi scarves added a touch of India to the predominately western line.

Of all the collection, which consisted of maxi dresses, silk sarongs, floral jackets and tunics with mixed and matched sleeves, a few pieces like the aqua chiffon trousers and red skirt stood out; more thanks to the colours than the designs.

Cantabil by Rocky S
7.30 pm

The Cantabil collection is aimed at youth and understandably has the same old summer wear line. Hot pants. Check. Funky, printed tops. Check. Men in suits. Well, not so summery, but check. Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan made an appearance and it was refreshing to see them make an entry on the ramp like normal models, and not some dramatic showstoppers. All said and done, if not for the Rocky S styling (read: dark sunglasses and scarves), the Cantabil show would have been quite a yawn.

Boombox Dolly

Boom, boom boom went Dolly Bindra drowning out the music playing at a lounge at the Fashion Week venue. She was holding forth about herself and her friend Sabah Khan's show that she had just watched.

It was the funky and vibrant show with catchy music in the air and a collection inspired by the auto-rickshaw or tuk-tuk.

And Bindra went tuk, tuk, tuk all the way. Showstopper Yuvika Choudhury was also there with her flowing skirt and, thankfully, less loud voice.

Was it a Rocky S show or wasn't it a Rocky S show? Well, it was rocking, that much one can say. It was the Cantabil show styled by Rocky S and naturally, his pals were conspicuous by their presence.

In fact, at the edgy and energetic show, the showstoppers were Zayed Khan and Dia Mirza. Rocky also took to the ramp, in the centre, of course. And in the front row were Rocky's friends Surily Goel, Renu Chainani and Deane Pandey.

Also seen were Achla Sachdev, Kanwaljeet Singh in a white-and-red ensemble and Anaya Dutta with that little black dress and making a statement that said, fashion comes of cleave-age.

Atsu and Kallol Dutta
3 pm

Easy glamour. The most difficult to achieve, yet designer Atsu manages to make it look effortless. Inspired by the idea of an urban gypsy, Atsu's collection had dresses in whites and ivories, yellows, reds and pinks.

The models looked like they have floated down the ramp as the fabric swished and swayed around their bodies, creating ultra-feminine silhouettes. His collection was devoid of any bling or embellishments, yet managed to leave an impression on the audience.

Kallol Dutta lived up to the hype around his show with a collection, which not only retained his signature prints and silhouettes, but also offered something new for his fans.

3D tie-dye kurtas, PJ tops and tasseled scarves, Dutta had it all. His favourite jail stripes and checkered prints made a comeback in the series, in the form of skinnies and shape dresses.u00a0

Abhishek, Sabah, vaishali S
12 pm

Day 4 started on a fun, peppy note. Abhishek Byas drew inspiration from Gotham city, with the girls modelling colourful ties, funky balloon skirts and dramatic, flared sleeves. Using a lot of panelling, pleats and cuts, it was refreshing to see the fun, exaggerated silhouettes. Clown suits in flashy heavy satin and chiffons added a dash of colour to the runway. An interesting m ufffdlange of fabrics and colours.

Sabah Khan continued the colour fest on the ramp with her Tuk Tuk collection. with a break-dancing rickshaw driver and dancing models, the collection was youthful. The show was going fine until showstopper Yuvika Chowdhury made a mess of the dramatic skirt when walking down the ramp. The garish red lipstick didn't help either. 'Keep Distance', said her blouse, and trust me, we will.

Vaishali S presented a line with some different silhouettes, with folds giving the fabric a very paper-origami feel. It had a very lightweight, summery touch to them.

Amalraj, Purvi, Sanjay
1.30 pm

Chess just got ultra chic with Amalraj Sengupta presenting a classy collection based on the game. Walking to a royal background score, the models showed off suits over transparent and linen shirts and slim fit pants. Men clad in pleat-breasted coats with high collars in blacks and whites and women in uneven hemline dresses complemented each other.

The show became more dramatic as it progressed, wrapping up in style with the Black and the White King walking down the ramp together. Even the best models can't salvage mediocre designs. Purvi Doshi presented a line that had nothing new to offer.

A seen-before collection of dresses, long and short was presented and forgotten even before the show was over. One is still trying to figure out why men are going floral this summer. Sanjay Hingu presented a collection with more floral motifs. Rugged men in fitted light blue and beige suits walked down the ramp for the designer.
