Thanks to the incomprehensible abstracts and thorough thoughts, the art arena has turned into an 'adults only' zone. However, the ongoing Laughtoon exhibition ensures that the kid is king. Here's all the dope.
Animal farm
The artistsu00a0Monchai Kosalpradit, Joe and Oie three young South Asian men have skillfully captured the nuances of childlike fantasies using mediums like acrylic and oil on canvas.
As per the creations, butterflies, cows, dogs, cats, elephants and donkeys find mention in most of the numbers.
The objective of this show is to give the kids an idea of what constitutes their world. "The paintings are open to various interpretations by different children. With a process like this, we are trying to impart education in a fun filled way," informs Samira Khandelwal, owner Kroma Art Gallery.
Toon fantasy
There are several displayed items (up for sale) that have been modelled around educational art, comical images, well-known cartoon figures such as Winnie the Pooh, Barney et al.
The richness of colours and themes would make these series an immediate favourite with bachcha party, suggests Khandelwal. Sounds interesting, no?
