Mumbai's salsa trippers have something to look forward to. Eight-time World Salsa Champion, Oliver Pineda will be conducting a special masterclass in the city later this month.
Brought to the country by John Anthony of the India International Dance Congress in association with Performza, Pineda will conduct two intensive bootcamps in the city, as part of the India tour that will also feature Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata.
The bootcamps will explore Kizomba (for beginners and improvers) and Salsa (for intermediaries and advanced learners), and each masterclass will be divided into two sessions of three hours, spread over two days.
The Kizomba masterclass will teach basic technique, fundamentals of the dance form, combinations and variations.
The Salsa sessions will allow participants to improve upon body isolation, turn patterns, their timing, advance shines and musicality. The final day of the bootcamps will also feature a Salsa night, with a special performance by Pineda.
