Lenovo has unveiled its 'affordable Android tablet made for all-day productivity', Yoga A12 with an all-new ‘Halo keyboard’

Lenovo has unveiled its 'affordable Android tablet made for all-day productivity' with an all-new ‘Halo keyboard’. Sale of the brand new Yoga A12 will start in the US from Wednesday through Lenovo’s online stores. The tablet will have an estimated price of Rs. Rs. 20,000 ($299). Apart from the major highlight of Lenovo Yoga A12, i.e. the flat designed ‘Halo keyboard’, some other specifications are:

  • 12.2-inch HD screen
  • 5.4mm in thickness
  • Intel Atom x5 processor
  • 2GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of storage
  • Preloaded Google productivity suite applications
  • Touch-screen buttons on the keyboard
  • Dolby Atmos speakers, and
  • Gunmetal Grey and Rose Gold colour variants.

The Halo keyboard is a pre-attached backlit keyboard that can be converted into an open canvas and used as a notepad. the perforamnce of the keyboard increases with the usage and gradually adopts the user's typing pattern. Lenovo claims that the Yoga A12 is an improved version of the Yoga Book in terms of physical specifications. The A12 is also said to have 13-hours of battery life, once fully charged. Though the device will be available only in the Android version, yet Lenovo has not yet announced if it will have an upgraded Android 7.1 Nougat.

With all such improvised and interesting user-friendly features, the Lenovo A12 Yoga tablet is priced moderately at around Rs. 20,162.
