Leonardo DiCaprio partners with 'green' car company
Leonardo DiCaprio has sealed his 'eco warrior' credentials by becoming an equity investor in the electric car company Fisker Automotive
Last year, the 37-year-old actor had become the first recipient of a 2012 Fisker Karma, one of the most environmentally-friendly vehicles on the market. Now the ‘Titanic’ star is partnering with bosses at the luxury hybrid brand, who will in turn support his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation charity.
“My foundation supports efforts to secure a sustainable future for our planet and all its inhabitants.” “I am delighted to be working with Fisker Automotive to promote this shared vision,” the statement read.
DiCaprio founded his non-profit organisation in 1998 to work on a variety of environmental issues, including wildlife protection and forest preservation.
