Work on your driving skills at a one-day road safety seminar in Thane
According to multiple reports by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the state has seen over three thousand road accidents (3,437) in 2013, the highest among Indian states. Keeping this in mind, the Maharashtra Highway Police (MHP) is conducting a special road safety seminar in two Thane colleges to promote safe driving habits among the youth and commuters.

The seminar is part of a campaign that started two days ago in Mumbai, and will see MHP and representatives of Maruti Driving Schools spread the message of safe driving and road safety through various programmes throughout the day. The seminar will take place at VPM Institute of Management, and Joshi College in Thane.
The campaign also focuses on the importance of quality driving training before taking up the wheel and takes the message to residential societies by putting up road safety messages in over 5,000 residential societies across the state.
