Munich: Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has admitted he made a mistake in not voting for teammate Manuel Neuer to win the Ballon d'Or.
The Germany goalkeeper finished third, behind forward duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Lewandowski, who was given a vote as he captains Poland, chose eventual winner Ronaldo as his number one player of the year, followed by Neuer and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
However, he revealed he would make a different decision if given the chance now.
"It was a mistake on my part to have chosen Ronaldo," he said on www.kicker.de.
"I would clearly choose Neuer today if I had the chance but I voted sometime in August. Today I would choose differently. I'm very sorry for Manu."
