The Mumbai Marathon has been inspired by the London Marathon. Mumbai organisers Procam had actually gone to London seven years earlier as the Mumbai Marathon was going to debut in the city, to study how a marathon includes the Tower Bridge in its route. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel arch bridge across the harbour. In fact, the first impression of Australia to tourists is the bridge, harbour and nearby Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Marathon includes the bridge in its route.
