It's time to make new friends, as Little Angels from the country are here to perform on the 60th anniversary of the Korean war
"In my dreams I hear again the crash of guns, the rattle of musketry, the strange, mournful mutter of the battlefield," said Douglas MacArthur, American general field marshal of the Philippine army. Such are the after effects of war. And who isn't aware of the state of ill-fated Korea and its people? Even though the country today stands as one of the strongest nations of the world, the Korean people had to face very difficult and challenging situations all through the war that began on June 25, 1950. 
But that was then. Now it's time for Koreans to show gratitude to the countries that stood by them during the war and remember those soldiers who sacrificed their lives to provide them comfort. This is the purpose for which "Little Angels", a dance troupe from Korea, was formed. This week, they are here in the national capital for the 60th anniversary of the Korean war and will performu00a0 at the Siri Fort auditorium. 
Suresh Goel, Director General of ICCR, says: "Between 1950 and 1954, the 60th Parachute Field Ambulance Unit lost four men and had 23 wounded while treating 224,000 patients. ICCR welcomes the Little Angels who are here to say 'thank you' to the Korean War veterans." Goel seems quite thrilled about the forthcoming performances of Little Angels. "The troupe will give two performances at the Siri Fort Auditorium. Onu00a0 November 22, for an audience of specially invited dignitaries led by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, and on November 23, for the school children and youth of Delhi."
The Little Angels of Korea have been representing the Korean culture to the world for the past 47 years. They are a unique Children's Folk Ballet, trying to bring peace to the world through their dance. So this week, welcome the Little Angels from Korea who are in truest sense the best ambassadors for peace and goodwill, as you soak in the unique history of their land.
