West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has been announced the madhyamik pariksha class 10th results today, 22nd May 2015 at 10 AM. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) was established in the year 1951 under the Act of the State Legislature known as the West Bengal Secondary Education Act 0f 1950, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) affiliates many public and private schools in the state of West Bengal. The board is responsible to conduct two major annual exams every year – madhyamik pariksha (S.E.) exam or class 10th Higher Secondary class 12th. Around 10, 50,000 examinees take up the exams every year. Over the years, the WB Board has also taken up the publication of text books for different classes as well according approval to books from private authors and publishers. From 1989, the examination system has been computerized and now the West Bengal Board is in the process of total computerization of works.

As per the result declarations of 2014 are concerned for the madhyamik class 10th were announced on 10th May and approximately 10 lacs of students had appeared for the examinations. It was significantly observed that the pass percentage among the students has progressively increased. In 1952, the WB Board handled only 42000 examinees, which increased to more than 5 lacs in 1976 and in 2006 this figure jumped to nearly 8 lacs.

Apart from conducting examinations, WB board also develops and promotes the aspect of secondary education in the state of West Bengal. The WBBSE also acts as the advisory organ to the state government on the matter of scientific advancement of secondary education. Students can also practise mock test papers or model test papers to prepare the madhmik pariksha class 10th or higher secondary class 12th examinations. These model test papers comprise of past year questions as well in order to prepare students in all aspects. All these examinations like madhmik pariksha class 10th or higher secondary class 12th play an important role in the life of students.
