The festival will be held from August 7 to 16 with the awards night at the legendary SAP Center in San Jose. The festival not only showcases Bollywood and Hollywood films, but includes fashion shows, panel discussions, workshops, dance performances and festive galas with Indian, Latino, Chinese and Far East communities. Independent movie producers and investors also attend the event.

There will also be venture-capitalist and pitching sessions apart from panel discussions with stalwarts and corporates.

Though a cardiologist by profession, Romesh K Japra has been leading the festival for the past 22 years as an initiative of the Federation of Indo Americans of Northern California (FIA). “The effort behind Festival of Globe – Silicon Valley (FOG-SV), and San Francisco Global Movie Fest-2015 has been a result of meeting the demands of immigrants of USA .

We are the only festival that aims to engage global views, participants, brands and audiences. We aim to reduce the gap between the global pool of talented movie makers and investors,” adds Dr Japra.
