Mumbai coaches attracted to Kanga League too!

The Kanga League is attracting some Mumbai coaches too. Former Mumbai Ranji coach Sulakshan Kulkarni and current Mumbai under-23 coach Vinayak Samant - both wicketkeeper-batsmen — scored half-centuries for their respective clubs. Kulkarni, playing for Apollo Cricket Club against DY Patil Sports Academy at Islam Gymkhana, scored 57 in Apollo's 219 in an 'A' division match

The Kanga League is attracting some Mumbai coaches too. Former Mumbai Ranji coach Sulakshan Kulkarni and current Mumbai under-23 coach Vinayak Samant - both wicketkeeper-batsmen — scored half-centuries for their respective clubs. Mumbai under-16 team coach Prashant Shetty scored 34 for Wellington CC in a 'D' division game against New Amrit CC for whom former Ranji cricketer Atul Ranade scored 55 in a drawn match.


Mumbai's left arm spinner Iqbal Abdullah took six for 53 for DY Patil Sports Academy . His teammate Shashank Singh scored 118 to claim first innings points against Apollo.


In a 'G' division tie, Samant scored an unbeaten 66 for Young Parsee CC against Friends Cricket Club. Replying to Young Parsee's 170 for three declared, Friends' were bowled out for 51. Young Parsee's Kunal Shroff claimed five for 13 and Bhavesh Shah three for three in a drawn match.

In an 'A' division match, Ranji player Sarfaraz Khan, who has shifted to Uttar Pradesh this year, scored 79 not out for Payyade Sports Club against MIG Cricket Club whose off-spinner Ankush Jaiswal claimed three wickets as Payyade totalled 142 all out. In reply, Kevin Almeida's unbeaten 70 played a big part in MIG's 112 for 7. The match was drawn.
