Who would have thought that was possible a few weeks ago? The fourth Test here faced uncertainty in the days leading up to the game. The game was given a go ahead, with Justice Mukul Mudgal appointed as observer. In the end, the game largely transpired smoothly, barring the odd drama.

In a statement released to the media on Day Five, Justice Mudgal thanked the Delhi High Court Judges who presented him with the opportunity to oversee the organisation of the Test match, "very select group" of DDCA officials, the fans and the BCCI among others. However, one quote stood out in the statement.

"The real heroes apart from the players of both teams, are about 40,000 school children who thronged Kotla for five days with their full throated support throughout," Justice Mudgal said.
