Kolkata: An Armyman has been arrested at Mughalsarai railway station for allegedly 'misbehaving' with a woman co-passenger who was travelling with him in Howrah- New Delhi Rajdhani Express, a railway official said in Kolkata on Saturday.

The incident came close on the heels of an alleged gang rape of a minor girl in a train by two para-military personnel.

The accused has been identified as Lance Naik Diler Singh, who is posted at Agartala, was arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) of Mughalsarai late last night for allegedly 'misbehaving' with the woman travelling in the same B3 coach of Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, the Eastern Railway (ER) officer said.

An FIR was lodged against Singh under IPC Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).

Earlier on December 28, an army jawan forced a minor girl to consume alcohol while she was allegedly gang raped by two paramilitary force personnel inside a compartment, reserved for security personnel, of the Howrah-Amritsar Express. She was later rescued by RPF in Madhupur station in Jharkhand.

The three accused were subsequently arrested and identified by the victim.
