The Shivaji Park police arrested a caterer for raping a fifth standard student inside the school toilet at Dadar on Friday after the school’s annual function.

The accused, Somnath Ferai Yadav worked as a caterer at the hall above the school premises.
An officer from Shivaji park police station, said, "Due to the ongoing renovation work, the survivor had to use the men’s toilet. Seeing the girl alone, Yadav raped her."
The victim narrated the ordeal to her mother, and she registered a case against the caterer with the Shivaji Park police station. The accused was arrested and booked for rape under Indian Penal Code section 376 (rape).
The school principal, Satish Inamdar, said, "The accused is not a staffer. Our hall is rented out for functions, which is why certain staffers like the cleaner and caterer are on contract."
