We all love our Parsi bhonu, be it the dhansak dal or the patra na macchi. Here is where to go stuff your face on Navroze

A Foodie's guide to Parsi New Year

Weli Deli's Parsi dabba
The restaurant with inviting French windows in the lobby of luxury residences, Taj Wellington Mews, is going to pay homage to the Parsi community with the Parsi Dabba Menu. On March 21, the spring equinox that marks the turn of the year for Zoroastrians, will see the eatery serve a menu of Salli marghi, Patra ni macchi, Papeta par eedu, Dhan dal chawal, sweet curd and Parsi sev. And for those who miss the date, here's good news. The tiffin will be available on all days henceforth, provided you order a day prior.
Where: Weli Deli, Taj Wellington Mews, Colaba
Price: Rs 2500 + taxes per tiffin
Call: 9920875790

The Bar Stock Exchange
Parsis love their tipple and what better way to celebrate the New Year than with a trade on alcohol? Bring your family and friends here to enjoy Parsi baked eggs and brun pav with Sali par edu.

When: 9.00 AM to 1.30 AM

Now, we know that vegetarians also love their dhansak. So, for them, on offer is traditional brown rice and dhansak, and Lagan nu custard to top it off.

The highlight at the 24-hour restaurant is the Navroz dinner where you can break your diet for pulav, fish and other spicy non-vegetarian food. You will be welcomed with sprinkle of rose water and faluda.

The best thing about the Navroze celebrations here is that they have already begun. Skip your traditional Sunday brunch and head here. The festive meal is a special Parsi/Irani tradition and there are vegeatrian and non-vegetarian treats on offer. Brinjal pickle, masala ni dal, jardaloo chicken and beetroot cutlet caught our eye. Got a sweet tooth? Don't miss the ravo, a Parsi kheer made with semolina.
