A unit hand says, "He was leading a set of contestants for a racing task. He had to zoom off to a particular location and return to the point of origin as fast as he could and in the meantime, one of his teammates had to hold spicy pani puri water in his mouth. Karan performed well but he realised later that not taking a reverse turn led to a three-second delay."

Karan was competing against other gang leaders — Neha Dhupia, Rannvijay Singh and Prince Narula. His teammate, thus, had to bear the brunt of his goof-up and was eliminated. "Karan was feeling extremely guilty and disappointed that he could not win the task. He broke down in front of the 'Roadies' "gangs" and other leaders. It was the first time we saw him crying," adds the source.
