After making two biopics back to back, Omung Kumar is ready to change track and attempt a psychological thriller. And if the latest buzz is to be believed, the filmmaker has approached Sushant Singh Rajput to star in his project.

Days before his latest directorial venture, Sarbjit, hit theatres last month, the filmmaker had said at an event, “I am doing a psychological-thriller next. The film will go on floors this year. It is a fantastic thriller which will be an actor’s dream role. It won’t be a female-oriented film, though.”
Says a source, “Omung has locked the script and begun the casting process. He is in talks with Sushant to play the lead in the film. They are quite friendly with each other.”
The actor is currently shooting with Kriti Sanon for Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta in Budapest. “Once he’s back, he is expected to sign the film. Only then will Omung make an official announcement,” a source working on the project says.
Sushant was unavailable for comment while Omung remains non-committal as he says, “Sushant is a good actor and a friend, and if we both like a script, we would love to work together.”
