Worli's Ellipsis Bakery offers a new monthly bread subscription service at your doorstep to ensure you don’t miss out on your gluten-free or multigrain breakfast fix
Has your paowalla ditched you, skipping his rounds to deliver bread at your doorstep of late? Or do you struggle to reach a neighbourhood bakery in time to get your hands on one of the freshly baked loaves? Then, you might want to check a new subscription service, launched by Worli's Ellipsis Bakery, which will deliver bread at your doorstep.

"Breads are a staple in every household and eaten on an almost daily basis. We noticed that many of our customers were coming in on a bi-weekly basis to only purchase our all-natural bread. We wanted to make it more convenient for them, so we decided to start the service," says bakery owner, Sanjnaa Talwar.
Breaking bread
While the bakery stocks nine varieties of breads, three of them are part of the subscription model. These include Crunchy Gluten Free, Multigrain and Whole Wheat. "We use ingredients like whole-wheat flour, unbleached bread flour, rye flour and rice. The breads are hand-made without any preservative," informs Talwar, adding that their shelf life is for five to seven days, when refrigerated.

How to subscribe
The monthly subscription model features three types of deliveries —once a week (four loaves a month), twice a week (eight loaves a month) or every two days (12 loaves a month). She adds, "Customers can opt for half or full loaves. After you subscribe, the delivery can start from the same day or the very next, depending on our stock and the choice of subscription. We have a delivery van that caters to orders across the city. The packaging features our proprietary bread bag."

The pricing depends on the subscription frequency and the bread variety that you opt for. For instance, a once-a-week monthly subscription of Multigrain (half loaf) is priced at '385 while an order of Crunchy Gluten Free (every two days, full loaf) for a month would set you back by '5,400.
