The mysterious Olmec head: In 1953, a massive head, carved from stone was discovered in the Guatemalan jungles. What's unusual in it was that although apparently dating back to 400 BCE, during the reign of the Olmec tribe, the statue's facial features didn't seemed to resemble anyone who existed during the time of the Olmecs.

This unusual phenomenon has baffled experts for ages. Any chance of further research became impossible when in the late 1980s, a doctor named Oscar Padilla, travelled to the statue's site to conduct further research and discovered that it had become the victim of target practice for the rebel Guatemalan troops.

Lizard People: Sculptures depicting lizard-like humanoids dubbed "The Lizard People", discovered in the popular Sudan dig site known as Al Ubaid have been a subject of mystery for years.

An unusual and most unnerving aspects is some of the statues are shown breastfeeding human babies. There have been theories suggested by some that they are actually statues of alien life forms, who had landed on earth and enslaved mankind before been driven away by other gods, while others feel that they are some form of ancient dieties.

Did aliens invade earth during the renaissance? Italian artist Ventura Salimbeni's painting, "The Disputa of the Eucharist," has a unique and unexplainable feature. It depicts Jesus Christ, a dove and what appears to be God, playing with what looks like a satellite or spaceship.

This painting, which was created during the 16th century has become the subject of numerous disputed theories between historians and researchers, with some claiming that the painting is proof of extra-terrestrial life was present on earth during that time with artists merging their instruments with our own religious stories in their works.

Some feel that the sphere represents the univers. Due to the uncanny resemblance between the sphere depicted in the painting to Russian satellites, many feel it could be a possible look into the future.

The Piri Reis map: Created by an Ottoman admiral named Ahmed Muhiddin Piri a.k.a. Piri Reis, in 1513, it has South America, North America and Antartica accurately mapped out in relation to Africa. The mystery is that these regions have been mapped even before they were officially discovered!

It is believed that Reis used a lost map of Christopher Columbus for his reference to North America. Also many experts theorise, he had no way of knowing the correct distance between South America to Africa since during the publication of this map, many believed that South America was directly across or slightly above Africa. Nonetheless, his seemingly unknowable knowledge has mystified many.

Betz mystery sphere: In 1974, a small American family known as the Betz, living in Fort George Island, which is nestled just east of Jacksonville, Florida, acquired a small steel sphere, while surveying the ashes of a wildfire, that destroyed over 80 acres of land nearby. After bringing the sphere home with them, they found it started to exhibit weird behaviour.

The sphere would emit an odd resonating sound, that seemed to come from an organ, when music was played and could roll and move on it's own and even stop when reaching the edge of a higher surface, such as a table top. As days passed the sphere started making louder resonating noises, and even started rolling aggressively and shattered nearby objects. The doors of the Betz house began to violently open and slam shut. The family dog was terrified of it.

Although initially refusing overtures from scientists and the military, the family relented in order to find a reason behind these bizarre happenings. Althogh nothing concrete has been discovered, the sphere is believed to belong to extra-terrestrial lifeforms. Some suggest that the sphere has nothing to do with the Betz family and that the incidents are possibly the reason of the demonic entity present in their house. Whatever the case, like all the previously mentioned cases, this one is also a complete mystery until today.
