England captain Alastair Cook has equalled cricket legend Sir Donald Bradman's record of having hit 29 Test centuries when he reached the three-figure mark on the opening day of the 2nd Test against Pakistan
England's Don! Alastair Cook level with Sir Bradman with 29th Test century
Barely a month after beating cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar's record of being the youngest to 10,000 Test runs and days after breaking a record set by Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar, England skipper Alastair Cook on Friday equalled the legendary Don Bradman's record of 29 Test centuries.
The 31-year-old left-hander scripted England's comeback against Pakistan in the 2nd Test following their defeat in the first Test against the visitors at Lord's. Cook was the key for England making 190 runs in one and half sessions.

The England opener had missed the landmark figure in the last Test when he fell short of his ton by 19 runs.
Australia's Matthew Hayden and Shivnarine Chanderpaul with 30 are next in Cook's eyesight and then it's Pakistan's Younus Khan (31).
Incidentally, like in the first Test, it was Amir again who castled Cook for 105.
After losing his opening partner Alex Hales early, the southpaw teamed up with Joe Root to stitch a 185-run partnership for the 2nd wicket.
Alastair keeps 'cook'ing new records
The England opener had earlier in the first Test at Lord's overtaken former India captain Gavaskar to become the most prolific opener in Test history.
Cook, who is 11th on the list of the all-time leading run-scorers in Tests, broke India great Sunil Gavaskar’s record of 9,607 for the most runs as a Test opener while making 81 against Pakistan at Lord’s. He was eventually dismissed by Pakistan comeback kid Mohammad Amir.

Cook broke Sachin Tendulkar's 11-year-old record as he reached the 10,000 Test run-mark in the 2nd innings at Durham against Sri Lanka in May.
