A model and former girlfriend of TV actor Arman Tahil came face to face with this harsh reality in the early hours of Wednesday.

She was thrown of the house, of which both she and Tahil are tenants, allegedly as a fallout of a rape complaint she has filed against the actor.
The model alleged that she was left stranded at 3 am in Andheri West after being thrown out of her own home, and that the police refused to even intervene.
"I had been out for some work and when I returned, I saw policemen outside my building. When I asked the security guard to open the gate, he refused to do so. He said he had been told not to let me inside the building," she told mid-day.
She spotted two women constables and an officer from the Versova police station inside the building — she suspects they had been called to ensure she was refused entry into the premises — and asked them for help. Their response left her more shaken.
"They told me to go away, instead of coming to my aid. I explained that I had been living there for the past six months. Yet, they refused to listen to me and instead, supported Arman's parents," she said.
The police personnel refused to comment on why she had not been let inside the building.
Police failed her
She alleged that the police had let her down — by first failing to arrest Tahil after she filed her rape complaint and then were helping him exact his revenge by leaving her homeless.
The model said, "I moved to Mumbai from Madhya Pradesh in 2011 to try my luck in Bollywood and met Arman in 2013. He persuaded me to move into his house in 2015, but after some days, his behaviour changed. He started demanding money from me, claiming that his career was floundering. He kept convincing me to marry him and he raped me several times. He promised to marry me, but in June, he left the house and told me that he would not marry me. I then filed an FIR against him."
The Versova police have registered an FIR against Tahil under sections 376 (rape), 420 (forgery) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.”
