Mumbai. Fed-up with the long traffic jam a 30-year-old motorist, who came out of his vehicle to clear the jam on the road, loses his leg in a tragedy. The man while clearing the traffic, fell into a pit and lost balance, and a truck crushed his right leg under its wheels. Doctors had to cut his leg during the treatment.


Mohammed Usman Khan, a Mira Road residence, is a supervisor in a construction company. Khan, who would daily go to Thane in his four-wheeler for work, on August 13 while returning home at 11pm along with two friends in the car, got stuck in heavy traffic jam at Chena village, in Ghodbunder.


Frustrated with the hours-long jam, and not waiting for traffic cops to come and ease it, Khan came out of his vehicle and started clearing the jam himself. While waling on the divider he fell into a pit and lost balance. This is when a passing truck crushed his right leg.


Seriously injured Khan was rushed to the Work hard hospital where during treatment doctors cut his right leg.

“Usman is unmarried used to stay along with his Brother in law Firoz Shaikh who is having construction business, Usman used to work with his in laws constrictions side on last Saturdaywas struck in coming in traffic near Ghodbandar at around 11 pm, went out from the car and was trying to clear the traffic he fell into a pit and lost balance. This is when a passing truck crushed his right leg. Said brother in law Firoz sheikh,” immediately he rushed to the “Work hard” admitted in ICU Doctors had cut his leg during the treatment for saving him he added .

“A case of negligence and rush driving have been registered against unknown truck driver said police officials from Kashimira police station,” the investigation is going on he further added.”
