Our interview with MasterChef Australia winner, Elena Duggan, had a lot of people ask us about why we didn't feature runner up, Matt Sinclair. It turns out that Matty was a favourite contestant and many were heartbroken when he lost; tears were shed too.

And Matt, who has a popular Facebook page and Instagram account has obviously received a lot of love from India because he updated his status recently to say: 'To all of the beautiful people in India. I want to thank you all for your messages of support, not just today but throughout the whole competition. I am so grateful for that journey and for what lies ahead of me.
Hopefully I will make it back to your country one day.' As Matt begins his journey with the launch of Ten Piece Cutlery, his street food stall showcasing South-East-Asian style food, we wish him the very best.

There is one truth about social media: all that is put out there is not authentic. One classic case among them is Mahatma Gandhi dancing with women. But the way things are with Donald Trump, considering there was a Trump Puja in the country recently, one cannot completely rule out possibilities. We had published a poster by an organisation by the name, Republican Hindu Coalitation, claiming to host a show in the US for terror victims to be attended by Bollywood stars like Shahid Kapur and Amisha Patel along with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar where Trump was to be the chief guest.
As outrage rolled on Twitter; Patel came forward to distance herself from the event and now Sri Sri's organisation has informed us he is not going to be there either. Some blow for the Republican Hindu Coalition. We are yet to confirm what that means.
Acting. What acting?
A few days back, Dharma Productions released a teaser of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the new Karan Johar movie starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan. Yesterday, the YouTube channel Screen Patti released their take on the teaser titled, Ae Acting Hai Mushkil. The video has people imitating the actors' and Karan Johar's voice when the credits of roll in.
There are more digs taken at Salman Khan (footpath driving), Virat Kohli, Shahid Afridi (Fawad Khan is called Boom Boom Afridi) and Abhishek Bachchan. It is accompanied by the line, 'Ek tarfa pyar ki tarah, acting bhi bahut mushkil hoti hai', a play on a line by Ranbir Kapoor. Our favourite is a montage of shots showing Ranbir walking away from his heroines — something he has done in five other films.
Ganpati, all spiced up
If you thought spices make only for great food infusions, think again. Cloves, cinnamon and cardamom can also work as ingredients to carve out Lord Ganesha's potbelly or elephantine ears. Well, at least that's what members of Shree Sai Darshan Mitra Mandal in Malad have done for their bappa idol this year.
The group, that has previously made idols out of chocolates, toy cars and pencils, worked for a month to conjure an eco-friendly spice Ganesha with nine kg of clove, 20 kg of cinnamon, six kg of cardamom, two kg of round chillies and one kg of mustard seeds. A good way to introduce kids to different spices too, isn't it?
