Podcast of the week: Alice isn't dead

This is one eerie story, written by Joseph Fink and narrated by Jasika Nicole in her seductive voice. Alice Isn’t Dead is the story of an American truck driver searching for his wife who is apparently dead. It is spooky, scary and the recitation is creepy enough to send shivers down your spine if seated in a dark room alone.

“I thought you were dead Alice, I know there is no evidence but I could not think of a reason you would vanish like that. I really loved you, screw you for that,” — the lines evoke emotion but a tinge of angst. The recitation is so descriptive that listeners can form an image of Alice in their minds. The background score — ambient music (rains, heavy synth) and natural sounds (like changing a radio channel) act as leitmotif to the story.

The story talks about the desperation of a man who tried his best to refrain from talking about her but ended up doing so in social circles. The protagonist is trying to investigate whether it is a murder, looking for clues to a story that probably she couldn’t tell her.

So, what are you waiting for? Hear this thriller ; each episode runs not more than 20 minutes.
